Beginning the process of scheduling your utility disconnections will ensure that you don’t get stuck with utility bill overlap. This is also when you should set up utilities for your new home.
Moving from a rental? Notify your landlord and find out when you can get your security deposit returned.

Time to finish up all that food that you don’t want to move. Try to end up with an empty freezer and pantry.
Plants do not pack especially well in our trucks, so it’s best to make arrangements to get your pets & plants to your new home through your personal vehicle or other means.
Time to change your mailing address on the Canada Post website. Notify your bank and credit cards of your new address at this time as well.
Contact your home insurance to transfer your insurance policy to your new home.
